By My/Our Own Admission
(the production of a routine)
Description:
1. By My Own Admission (NYC 2016): In a staged performance with a live audience, artist Dillon de Give and his 2-year-old son collaborate in an attempt to recreate a typical going-to-bed routine, possibly with the child going to sleep.
2. By Our Own Admission (Toronto 2017): de Give invites local parents and caretakers to share the details of their bedtime routines in front of a live audience, allowing for catharsis, information sharing, and a sense of community to develop.
